Jean Pichot
My motion design background is a huge asset in my UX/UI work. I use it to quickly sketch out ideas and create animations that demonstrate interactions and transitions, which is a great way to communicate concepts more effectively. I’m able to explore and conceptualize interactions or interface elements in ways standard prototyping tools often can’t, especially when they falls outside traditional interactions. Our software involved linked nodal structures of tasks that could be grouped and related to milestones or goals, with people, teams, and time estimates — motion design and tools like After Effects or even Unity allowed me to prototype interesting linking mechanisms or grouping interactions and share with the team.
